William H. Karger Bio

William H. Karger, Esq. (“Bill”), founded Karger Consulting Group in 2001, after working for some of the nation’s most recognized and respected firms and companies.  He has significant experience in a wide range of corporate, finance, real estate, insurance and business operational issues, including condominium and home owner associations, capital finance, mortgages, loan modifications, foreclosure defense, compensation and indemnity policies, intellectual property issues, licensing and distribution relationships, and joint venture efforts.
Having practiced law since 1997, principally in large national firms, in-house and for start-up ventures, Mr. Karger has developed deep expertise in real estate, corporate and intellectual property law. Mr. Karger specializes in real estate finance transactions (private and public), home owner association and variance issues, and software licensing. Prior to starting his own practice, he was a senior associate at the law firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and served as in-house Procurement Counsel at MCIWorldcom. Mr. Karger was a leader in the technology protection and transaction practice for Northern Virginia office of Akin Gump Technology Ventures, providing legal advice to emerging growth, development-stage, and young public companies in the technology sector.
Mr. Karger received a B.B.A. in Marketing & Communications from The George Washington University in 1992.  He received his MBA in Management Finance from Suffolk University and then earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1997.  Mr. Karger is a member of the Virginia and Maryland bars, with privileges in the District of Columbia.
Bill is a single father with two wonderful children.  He coaches his daughter’s softball and football teams and is also an active member of Autism Speaks in Palm Beach and Broward Counties.
